Our Message to America
The last few weeks have been a big challenge to all of us personally. Many of us have lost loved ones to COVID-19 and the pain of loss is raw and still dominates every hour of the day. Our deepest sympathies go out to you who are suffering loss. To those who are fighting the disease in a Hospital, Nursing Home or at home, our healing prayers go out to you and your families. We want to salute the heroes – the doctors, the nurses, the orderlies – all the Hospital and Nursing Home staff members who are putting in long hours to provide care and save lives. Let’s not forget the other people who are providing essential services behind-the scenes – the food, pharmacy and medical supply workers and the truck drivers and warehouse staffs and grocery store and pharmacy personnel who show up every day to keep our country supplied at risk to their own health. First Responders, we cheer you as you enforce our laws, take emergency calls and continue to protect and save lives – as you do every working day of your lives.
To our brave men and women who wear the uniforms of our country – whether you are stationed here or in a faraway land – we salute you! A large part of our country has been shut down – our children are not in school – some are missing proms, graduations, and school and youth sports; stores and malls are closed; restaurants are operating with limited services; some of us can work from home, others of us have seen our jobs eliminated or our companies closed. Visiting with family and friends has been reduced to seeing them on Facetime or Zoom – these drastic changes have been a shock to our very being. You are all heroes, too – your sacrifices matter.
?As our country slowly wakes – school doors and park gates are beginning to open, business lights are coming back on, the spirit that is born in all of us will be rekindled. We are all Americans – whether we were born in this wonderful country or another – we are part of the fabric of our nation. We will rise, we will honor those whose lives were lost, we will go back to work or we will find a new job, we will teach our children and we will never take anything for granted again!
To try to help out those who will be looking for a new job and need some help – we are making $5,000 donations each to Howard County (Maryland) Food Bank and to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Food Pantry in Connecticut. 久久精品国产视频在热
